Food supplement based on Quercetin, Trans-Resveratrol, Folic Acid, Vitamins B6 and B12, Aluminium Hydroxide and dry Artichoke extract, which acts as a renal cytoprotector, antiinflammatory agent and enteric phosphate binder in cases of chronic renal failure in dogs and cats. Oxidative stress mediates renal damage, the pathophysiology and progression of chronic renal failure. Quercetin, a flavonoid with a powerful antioxidant effect, reduces inflammatory response and inhibits mesangial cell apoptosis, thus protecting the nephrons – the basic components of the kidneys. Trans-Resveratrol is a polyphenol from the stilbene group, with multiple effects. As a renal cytoprotector, it reduces glomerulosclerosis, proteinuria and systolic pressure by increasing NO-mediated (nitric oxide) vasodilation. Folic Acid and Vitamins B6 and B12 are cofactors that support vitamin deficiencies, anaemia and hyperhomocysteinaemia; a risk factor for cardiovascular mortality. Aluminium Hydroxide acts as an enteric phosphate binder, limiting its retention and, therefore, hyperphosphataemia and secondary hyperparathyroidism. It also improves renal function and prevents mineralisation, inflammation and renal fibrosis. Artichoke extract is a digestive and a liver protector. It stimulates the appetite, is antiemetic, spasmolytic, choleretic and cholagogue.

For:
• Chronic renal failure.

Daily dosage
• Dogs: up to 10 kg: ½ tablet; from 10 to 20 kg: 1 tablet; from 20 to 30 kg: 1 ½ tablets; from 30 to 40 kg: 2 tablets; 40 kg or more: 2 tablets.
• Cats: ½ tablet. Crush and mix with regular food if preferred.
