Nowfoods L-TYROSINE 750mg 90 Caps

The L-Tyrosine is irrelevant amino acid (protein building block) that the body synthesizes from phenylalanine, another amino acid.

Tyrosine is important for the structure of almost all proteins in the body.

Participates in the synthesis of thyroid hormones (thyroxine T4 and T3 Triodothyroninis) and gives very good results in cases of hypothyroidism.

It is also the precursor to the production of several neurotransmitters, including L-dopa, dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine.

The L-tyrosine, through its effect on neurotransmitters, may affect various states of health of the organization, including Parkinson's disease, depression and other mood disorders.

Studies have shown that tyrosine may help people with depression.

Preliminary findings show the beneficial effect of tyrosine, along with other amino acids, in humans suffering from dementia, including Alzheimer's disease.

Because of its role as a precursor of norepinephrine and epinephrine (two of the major hormones associated with stress), the tyrosine may also ease the adverse effects of environmental, psychological and physical stress.

If levels of these neurotransmitters are insufficient, feelings of sadness, anxiety, irritability and frustration can grow.

In addition, dopamine helps in suppressing appetite and reducing body fat, so people with insufficient levels of the neurotransmitter that can gain weight, or struggling to lose.

The L-tyrosine is converted by skin cells into melanin, the dark pigment that protects against the harmful effects of UV light.

Many thyroid hormones, which have a role in almost every process in the body, also contain tyrosine as part of their structure.

People born with the genetic condition phenylketonuria (PKU) are unable to metabolize the amino acid phenylalanine, which can lead to mental retardation and other severe disabilities.

Tyrosine supplementation may be beneficial in some people with PKU, although the evidence is conflicting.

The NOW L-Tyrosine with the highest potency of 750mg per capsule provides significant support for a healthy glandular function and response to stress.
