Nausea is one of the most common symptoms of pregnancy, with or without vomiting. It most commonly occurs between weeks 5 and 18, and symptoms are usually at their worst around week 9.
Although pregnancy-related nausea and vomiting are often called “morning sickness,” it can arise at any time of day and it occurs for 70 percent of pregnant women. Some may fell a slight dizziness in the morning while others may feel bad all day long and nausea in the presence of food or other odors.
In reality, nausea and vomiting may be an indication of the change in hormonal levels.
Even though the exact causes for nausea during pregnancy are not established to this day, there are indications that higher hormonal levels of b-chorionic and hyper secretion of gastric fluid along intensified smell are responsible.
At about 3 months the body has adjusted to the higher hormonal levels and nausea stops
