Nicotinamide is a water-soluble vitamin. It is part of vitamin B group. Nicotinamide does not cause flushing, itching, or burning feeling in the skin.

A well-known cause of nicotinamide deficiency is bacterial overgrowth in the small intestinal. It is present in more than fifty metabolic reactions including the essential function of Krebs cycle.
